CITY CALENDAR

 

The Frontenac City Council meets on the first and third Monday of every month at 6:00 p.m. at Town Hall.

 

The Frontenac Municipal Court holds court on the first and third Wednesday of every month at 8:00 a.m. at Town Hall.

 

The Frontenac Public Rec. board meets on the first Wednesday of every month at 4:30 p.m. at Town Hall.

 

The Frontenac Planning & Zoning Board meets on the second Thursday of every month at 5:30 p.m. at Town Hall

 

Welcome to Frontenac, Kansas.  Founded in 1886, Frontenac is home to just over 3,000 residents. Our citizens enjoy a small town atmosphere and all that a close-knit community has to offer. Situated on the crossroads of two major highways; US69 and US160; those living in Frontenac can easily travel and enjoy the amenities of larger cities in a short travel distance. Pittsburg is directly adjacent to Frontenac on the south, Joplin, MO is a short 30 minute drive and much larger Kansas City, KS and Springfield, MO are less than two hours drive.

Our community boasts an outstanding 3A school system, low taxes, complete city services including 24-hour police and fire protection and has direct access to amenities of a larger city in less than a few minutes drive including restaurants, cultural activities and a state university. Frontenac also includes numerous service industries, restaurants, medical clinics and specialized technical training centers.
