CITY CALENDAR

 

The Frontenac City Council meets on the first and third Monday of every month at 6:00 p.m. at Town Hall.

 

The Frontenac Municipal Court holds court on the first and third Wednesday of every month at 4:30 p.m. at Town Hall.

 

The Frontenac Public Rec. board meets on the first Wednesday of every month at 4:30 p.m. at Town Hall.

 

The Frontenac Planning & Zoning Board meets on the second Thursday of every month at 5:30 p.m. at Town Hall

The regular meeting of the Frontenac City Council, April 21st, 2008 was called to order at 6:00 PM by Mayor Kennedy.  The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all and roll call was answered by Southard, Kotzman, Macary, Quenoy, Restivo and Grilz.  Council Member Bridwell arrived at 6:05.

Minutes of April 7th, 2008 were opened for discussion.  A motion was made by Grilz and seconded by Kotzman to approve.  The motion was unanimously approved.

Appropriation Ordinance #1477 was opened for discussion.   Quenoy made a motion to approve appropriation ordinance #1477, this motion was seconded by Grilz and unanimously approved.

Mayor Kennedy recommended the following annual appointments.

A motion was made by Grilz, seconded by Quenoy and unanimously approved to accept the Mayor’s annual appointments.

Citizens Comments:  Amy Price was present and addressed the Council about her concerns with dogs running at large in the City.  Amy advised that she walks her dog on a leash and last week another stray dog attacked her dog while they were walking.  Amy asked that more be done to remedy the problem with dogs at large.  The ordinance relating to dogs at large will be revisited at the next Council Meeting and a reminder printed on the next water bill as to the ordinance.

City Administrators Report:  Dan updated the Council on the 2008 capital improvements projects.  The renovation project bids are due by May 9th with a report and request for Council action at the May 19th meeting.

Bids and proposals on the 2008 overlay project are to be returned by May 1st and they will be ready for Council action at the May 5th meeting.  Roads to be done this year include Crawford from McKay to Leighton, McKay from Santa Fe to the bridge east of Sugar Creek and Cayuga from the overpass to 160 highway.

With no further business, a motion to adjourn was made by Quenoy, seconded by Kotzman and unanimously approved.
