Our team of volunteers are honored to uphold a rich tradition of service that people count on in our community 24-hours a day, 7-days a week. Mission Statement We, the Frontenac Police Department, exist to serve all people within our jurisdiction with respect, fairness and sensitivity. We are committed to the prevention of crime and the protection of life and property; the preservation of peace, order and safety; the enforcement of laws and ordinances; and the safeguarding of constitutional guarantees. With community service as our foundation, we are driven by goals to enhance the quality of life, conduct thorough investigations, seek solutions and foster a sense of security in our community and its individuals. We nurture public trust by holding ourselves to the highest standards of performance and ethics. Civil DefenseFrontenac Civil Defense is an organized body of volunteers responsible for the protection of life and property in the event of natural disaster. Due to Frontenac's location in "Tornado Alley", the prime concern is collection and dissemination of information related to severe weather and tornadoes. Civil Defense volunteers are called out during severe weather events and are key in early notification of the public should severe weather be imminent. This storm season typically spans from March through October. Starting in early February, the city's storm sirens are tested on a weekly basis on Wednesday at noon. There are currently 10 members of Frontenac Civil Defense headed by the Fire Chief.
