The City of Frontenac has recently completed a renovation of the City Hall, Fire Department, new construction to house the Police Department and a new maintenance building. The project completely restored the city hall building which was originally built in 1918 and moved the police department to the same building as the fire department, creating the Frontenac Public Safety Center. The cost of the project was approved by voters in 2007 with a $1.2 million bond. The project was completed December 31, 2008 under budget.

The new city hall building features new offices for city and municipal court staff, meeting room, new data networking, a climate-controlled storage room for city records, and a drive-thru which can service not only water payments but electric and gas payments as well.

An Open House was held for the public on April 6, 2009 from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Many members of the public toured the new facilities.
