Public Recreation Center


The Public Recreation Center is a project of the Frontenac Recreation Board. Completed in September, 2010 the Public Rec Center has exercise equipment available to citizens of Frontenac, those that have children in Frontenac schools or anyone living in the Frontenac school district. Anyone over 18 can apply for a key card for access to the equipment. There are currently treadmills, statinary bikes, ski machines, a leg press machine, arms and chest machine and dumbells. All of the equipment is well suited for the average user and those that are rehabilitating an injury.

Hours of operation are 7 days a week from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Assistance with the equipment or an exercise routine is available Monday through Thursday in the afternoons.

Applications may be picked up at Frontenac City Hall Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m to 4:30 p.m.

Cost:

$25 per year for Frontenac residents
$50 per year if you live outside the city but in the Frontenac school district
$50 per year if you live outside the city but have a child in Frontenac schools

All applications are considered by the Frontenac Recreation Board and not the City of Frontenac.

The Frontenac Recreation Board would like to thank everyone for a successful year. In 2011, over 900 memberships were sold. Renewal notices have been sent out, one per household. Let's make health and fitness a priority in 2012 as well!
