The regular meeting of the Frontenac City Council, June 7th, 2010 at Town Hall was called to order at 6:00 PM by Mayor Kennedy. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all and roll call was answered by Papish, Quenoy, Restivo, Chiappetti and Menghini.

Kotzman and Macary were absent.

Minutes of May 17th, 2010 were opened for discussion. A motion was made by Papish and seconded by Chiappetti to approve the minutes. This motion was unanimously approved.

Appropriation Ordinance #1528 was opened for discussion. A motion to approve appropriation ordinance #1528 was made by Quenoy, seconded by Restivo and unanimously approved.

Police Chief’s Comments: Chief Flora expressed his appreciation to Jay Hatfield Kawasaki for donating a Kawasaki Mule ATV to the police department. This vehicle has many advantages and will be used by the police department to better serve the public. 

Council Members’ Comments: Restivo commented on the police departments effectiveness during Homecoming. Quenoy expressed his appreciation to those involved in organizing the Homecoming and parade events this year.

City Clerk’s Report: Council was advised that the Zoning Board had approved a special use permit for Kenneth Hope, allowing the construction of a duplex at the corners of McKahn and Cayuga. Hope has several units in Frontenac and each are maintained well. A motion was made by Restivo, seconded by Menghini to approve the Zoning Board decision and allow the special use permit. This motion was unanimously approved.

With no further business, a motion to adjourn was made by Quenoy seconded by Papish and unanimously approved.
